Course Outcomes:

The following highlighted course outcomes tie into module outcomes:

1.  Analyze, synthesize and develop policies, including responsibility, accountability and liability for an IT organization.

2.  Explain ethics and social responsibility of IT, and develop ethical standards and practices for IT.

3.  Discuss and understand the American Legal system, Contract Law, and Product Liability – including warranties, audit practices, including financials, operations and security, and e-commerce law.

4.  Outline internet law, intellectual property law, privacy and cyber crimes.

5.  Analyze, synthesize and discuss various cases dealing with IT law.

Module 6 outcomes:

1. Define crime and list the essential elements of a crime.

2. Describe criminal procedure, including arrest, indictment, arraignment, and the criminal trial.

3. Define major white-collar crimes, such as embezzlement, bribery, and criminal fraud.

4. Describe cyber crimes and describe the federal laws outlawing cyber crimes.

5. Explain the constitutional safeguards provided by the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
